Top story Year on year sales growth fell back in August as pent-up post-lockdown demand softened, according to the monthly BRC-KPMG Retail Sales Monitor. Total retail sales increased by 3% in August, against a growth of 3.9% in the same month last year. This figures below the three-month average growth of 6.9% and the 12-month average growth of 10.3%.
